Researchers

Dr Anna Klamet is a lecturer in publishing at LCC (UAL). Her research focuses on the impact of digital disruption on the publishing industry and especially on e-publishing in small nations in Europe. She is particularly interested in the role of current policy frameworks and different book cultures in establishing new business models. Other research interests include Open Access publishing in the humanities, media management and entrepreneurship in the creative industries.

Dr Frania Hall is senior lecturer at LCC, UAL. Her research interests include digital publishing and publishing ecosystems, management and entrepreneurial networks in the creative industries, and the evolution of zine production. She is author of The Business of Digital Publishing (Routledge), now in its second edition, and of Managing Digital Innovation in Publishing: Collaborations and Para-Organisations for Creative Change (Routledge 2024).

Dr Sonali Misra is a researcher and author, working as a lecturer in journalism and publishing at LCC, UAL. Her research analyses the postcolonial impact of the cartelisation of English-language trade book publishing, with a focus on India. She is also interested in copyright and piracy, multinational and independent publishing, and minoritised voices in literature and publishing. Professor Jonathan Hardy is Professor of Communications and Media at the University of the Arts London. He writes and comments on media industries, media and advertising, communications regulation, and international media systems.

Oswin Tickler is a designer and educator whose work explores the connections between people, processes, concepts and disciplines. He teaches on both the MA Publishing and BA Magazine Journalism and Publishing courses at LCC, and is an associate lecturer on a number of design courses across UAL. Recent practice-based research has led to the exploration of creative coding within print environments, which has been formalised by HP Indigo as the HP Spark software.

Russell Merryman is a senior lecturer, journalist and digital media researcher based at LCC (UAL) where he teaches on the BA (Hons) Journalism course. His research interests include technology and its relationship with journalism and he is currently studying for a PhD at UAL investigating the development of interactive television news in the UK.

Dr Lucia Vodanovic is an academic, researcher, and Course Leader of MA Journalism at the London College of Communication. Her research interests focus on social aesthetics, lifestyle media and journalism, notions of expression, subjectivity, and tone in journalism and publishing

Dr Alejandro Abraham-Hamanoiel is a senior lecturer in Journalism, London College of Communication.
